GL2 - Group Life 2
Our primary tool for discipleship is something we are calling GL2, which stands for Group Life 2. We believe that becoming like Christ is best accomplished in relationships we build with people who are like us and who are also trying to follow Christ.
This is why at Piedmont our goal is to get you connected with a small group of like-minded people to do life and pursue Christ together. This is the goal of our Group Life Ministry.
Group Life has two components: community groups and growth groups.
Community Groups
Community Groups are a small group of 4-6 married couples or 8-10 singles that gather at least twice a month in a home for fellowship, bible study, and simply learning to do life together. It is a non-threatening environment where you develop the type of friendships that push you forward in your relationship with Christ.
Growth Groups
Growth Groups are a small Group that gathers weekly for a predetermined length of time (usually 6-12 weeks) for the purpose of studying a particular issue or book of the Bible. The primary purpose of Growth Groups is to communicate information that will help you grow in a relationship with Christ. Growth Groups are designed to help you learn the skill to "feed yourself" to be spiritually fit.
