Serve Strategically

Strategic Service happens when you serve in a place that moves the church closer to fulfilling its mission. We have a very specific strategy, which is to create environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue a real relationship with God.  That environment is created by people serving other people.

It is important that we first serve where we are needed and then, start praying about where we best fit. If your house was on fire and you called on me, your neighbor, for help, you wouldn’t want me to stand around evaluating where my particular gifts and talents could be best utilized. You would want me to go to the point of greatest need, then look around and evaluate from a position of service rather than as a spectator. If we all do that, there will be enough of us so that no one will be over-taxed and eventually, everyone will find a place that suits his or her gift mix best.
