  • Chris barbee

    Lead Pastor

    Chris has been married to Amy Barbee since 2008, and they have two wonderful children, Micah and Maggie. Chris grew up in Metro-Atlanta and is the son of a pastor. Chris has been in full-time ministry since 2010 and worked as a ministry volunteer before that. 

    He has a B.S. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University and a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves all sports, movies, and going on dates with his wife! 


    His goal is to seek after Christ with endurance (Hebrews 12:1-2), proclaiming His glorious grace to all (Ephesian 1:6), and raising up others to do the same (Ephesians 4:12).

  • Hunter Williams

    Worship & Creative arts Director

    Hunter has been married to Megan Williams since 2019. Hunter received a B.A. in Philosophy from Clayton State University in 2016. Before finding a home at Piedmont Church, Hunter actively served in and lead numerous music ministries in and around Jackson, GA. Apart from leading worship and producing videos, Hunter enjoys spending time with his wife Megan, working on musical equipment, woodworking, and listening to podcasts. 


    His goals are to continually grow closer to the Lord, lead people into God's presence through worship and media, strive to make disciples through his ministry, and to foster and raise up the next generation of leaders.


    "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

  • Mateo Burt

    Student PASTOR

    Mateo has been married to Kaleigh since 2021. He has a B.A. in Christian Ministry from North Greenville University. Originally from Hampton, Virginia, Mateo moved to Georgia in 2020 to go into ministry as a student pastor. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their 2 cats, Gibbs and Tyrion, watching movies, and staying active.


    His prayer for the student ministry is that they would know what it means to be a part of a real community with other believers, to have a real relationship with God that consists of daily time spent with Him, and to feel the urgency of the need for Jesus that their friends, neighbors, and family have. In other words: Real Community, Real Devotion, and Real Responsibility.

  • King Kemper

    Elder

    King was born and raised in Macon. He is married to Katie Loving Kemper from Nashville Tennessee, and they have three wonderful children: Avery, Cook, and Amelia. King graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Communications and from Mercer University with his MBA. He also serves as a Commercial Real Estate Broker with The Summit Group.


    King loves all aspects of Piedmont. He serves in various ways, but one area you will always see King is talking with people in the lobby area and helping to make sure they feel at home!

  • TIM SELF

    ELDER

    Tim is a lifelong resident of Georgia, currently living in Bolingbroke. Tim is married to Marquita and they have four grown children together: Kera, Destiny, Trevor, and Trinity. He graduated from Southwest High School in Macon. Tim has worked in public safety for 36 years and now owns his own company.


    Tim has been a member of Piedmont Church for three years and has grown up in church as a young child. He has worked in various ministries throughout the church as well.

  • Jonathan Kenney

    ELDER

    Jonathan was born and raised in Opelika, Alabama. He met the love of his life (Lydia Kenney) at Auburn University. He married Lydia in 2016 and they had a wonderful baby girl, Rosemary Grace, in May of 2021. 


    They moved to Macon, Georgia in August of 2021 and began attending Piedmont Church the following April. They both love the church and are excited about God growing His kingdom here in Macon, and they are both excited about expanding the Kingdom to the nations, together!
