  • Chris barbee

    Lead Pastor

    Chris has been married to Amy Barbee since 2008, and they have two wonderful children, Micah and Maggie. Chris grew up in Metro-Atlanta and is the son of a pastor. Chris has been in full-time ministry since 2010 and worked as a ministry volunteer before that. 

    He has a B.S. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University and a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves all sports, movies, and going on dates with his wife! 

    His goal is to seek after Christ with endurance (Hebrews 12:1-2), proclaiming His glorious grace to all (Ephesian 1:6), and raising up others to do the same (Ephesians 4:12).


  • Hunter Williams

    Worship & Creative arts Director

    Hunter has been married to Megan Williams since 2019. Hunter received a B.A. in Philosophy from Clayton State University in 2016. Before finding a home at Piedmont Church, Hunter actively served in and lead numerous music ministries in and around Jackson, GA. Apart from leading worship and producing videos, Hunter enjoys spending time with his wife Megan, working on musical equipment, woodworking, and listening to podcasts. 

    His goals are to continually grow closer to the Lord, lead people into God's presence through worship and media, strive to make disciples through his ministry, and to foster and raise up the next generation of leaders.

    "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)


  • Mateo Burt

    Student PASTOR

    Mateo has been married to Kaleigh since 2021. He has a B.A. in Christian Ministry from North Greenville University. Originally from Hampton, Virginia, Mateo moved to Georgia in 2020 to go into ministry as a student pastor. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their 2 cats, Gibbs and Tyrion, watching movies, and staying active.

    His prayer for the student ministry is that they would know what it means to be a part of a real community with other believers, to have a real relationship with God that consists of daily time spent with Him, and to feel the urgency of the need for Jesus that their friends, neighbors, and family have. In other words: Real Community, Real Devotion, and Real Responsibility.

    "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified."

  • Kaleigh BURT

    Kids Director

    Kaleigh has been married to Mateo since 2021. She has a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Religious Studies from Georgia Southern University. She grew up in Macon, GA and moved back home to serve the Lord after college graduation. She currently teaches at Heard Elementary and enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and 2 cats. Her favorite activities are going on walks, spending time outside, and reading a good book!

    Kaleigh wants every child to know the love that Jesus has for them and the great gift of salvation He has given them. It is her goal to draw closer to Jesus daily so that she is able to share His love in every aspect of her life, including her ministry. 

    “…For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but I will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)


  • Ariana Ragusa

    Administrative Assistant

    Ariana has been married to Landon Ragusa since 2021. She was born and raised in Stockbridge, Georgia and has recently moved to Macon with her husband. She received her A.A. in Psychology from Gordon State College in 2021. Ariana enjoys being outdoors, exploring new places, making new friends, and spending quality time with her husband. 

    Ariana has been in and around the church her whole life, and has volunteered and served in various ministry roles for many years. She strives to glorify God by serving and encouraging the body of Christ, hoping to point others to God’s immeasurable grace and love. 

    “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 

    (1 John 4:7-8)

    “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.”

  • Tyllen Richardson

    Worship Resident

    Tyllen received his A.A. in Biblical Studies from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2022. He also earned his Eagle Scout rank within The Boy Scouts of America in 2022. Before the Lord led him to Piedmont, Tyllen had the opportunity to serve in and lead worship at multiple churches around Macon. During a GAP Year Program in Italy, he also had the privilege to serve as a worship leader for the program.

    Tyllen enjoys meeting new people, playing and learning new music, and staying active outdoors. His goals are to keep growing in his faith while pointing people to the Lord through praise and worship. Tyllen enjoys serving the local church and desires to seek God’s will in every aspect of his life.

    “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)


  • King Kemper


    King was born and raised in Macon. He is married to Katie Loving Kemper from Nashville Tennessee, and they have three wonderful children, Avery, Cook, and Amelia. King graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Communications and from Mercer University with his MBA. He also serves as a Commercial Real Estate Broker with The Summit Group.

    King loves all aspects of Piedmont. He serves in various ways, but one area you will always see King is talking with people in the lobby area and helping to make sure they feel at home!

  • Eric Latimer


    Eric spent his early years in the Boston area before moving back down south to Alpharetta, GA. He met his wife, Chelsea, at Berry College and they were married in June of 2014. They have a son, Sam, and a yellow lab, Piper. Eric is the Vice President of Online Advertising Solutions at Renfroe and a varsity soccer coach at First Presbyterian Day School.

    Eric loves being a part of the Piedmont family and doing what he can to help it grow and thrive. He volunteers with the worship team in the sound booth and his wife helps lead the Treehouse ministry.

  • Danny Morton


    Danny grew up in Macon and graduated high school from Tattnall Square Academy and earned his BBA from Mercer University.  He is married to Ginger, and they have 2 children, Alex and Ashleigh. Danny has worked in government sales at GIGA Inc since 1987.  He and Ginger co-founded Miracle League of Macon in 2003, a baseball league for both boys and girls, ages 5 and up, with disabilities, or as Danny likes to say, “we have players with special abilities”. Their motto is “Every child deserves a chance to play baseball”.  

    Danny loves sports, especially Atlanta Braves baseball.  He has enjoyed serving in our children’s All-Star program for many years as a small group leader.  His favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

  • Jimmy Dooley


    Jimmy was born and raised in Macon. He is married to Dee Ann Dooley and they currently reside in Bolingbroke. They have two grown children, Anna and Jacob. Jimmy graduated from Georgia Tech with Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and is a manager at Georgia Power Company.


    Jimmy has been a member of Piedmont since its early days and has worked in the children’s ministry as a small group leader during his time at the church.



    Tim Self is a lifelong resident of Georgia, currently living in Bolingbroke . Tim is married to Marquita and has 4 grown children, Kera, Destiny, Trevor and Trinity. He has 4 Grandchildren. Graduated from Southwest High School in Macon. Tim has worked in public safety for 36 years and now owns his own company. 

    Has been a member of Piedmont for three years and has grown up in church as a young child. He has worked in various ministries throughout the church.
